Food security and lack of sustainable environment systems are creating a loss of resources today. Furthermore, we are at the beginning of cutting edge research for life on other planets. For this project, my research question was: How can we create a sustainable living plan for earth that can be replicated for a starter city on Mars or other planets in the future? This is a design of a research facility that would develop a self sustainable hydroponic garden system. This hydroponic system would ideally be placed anywhere around earth in extreme environmental conditions to decrease famine while providing valuable data to be able to be used in other planets with different environmental conditions.
